Great job Forrest Koumas...

  • In the last month or two, he's come off the deck from being demoted, getting another shot and getting shelled, going on the "DL". Now he bounces back in a huge rubber game in a hostile environment and throws a great game.

I never thought I'd see a game in which Matt Price gave up 7 in 3 IP and we still win by 3 runs.

  • I'll second that on Price! His ERA took a hit today. MCR or anyone know what the SEC standings are now? Tia Oops didnt see kyles post earlier.

  • Koumas was amazing would have loved to have watched that pitching performance!

  • Agree with you, there MCR.

Koumas has taken a beating this year. He has been the nail, but today he was the hammer. I am very happy for the young man.

Also, how about that catcher we have. He is impressive in all areas.

Cannot say enough about Adam Matthews. He is a team guy, and a Senior. He was the hero today again. He deserves as much praise today as he has gotten criticism before. I hope people will pile it on.

You can't say enough about Greiner's ability to clear the bases! That is huge for the confidence of a pitcher. Koumas is tough; I have heard that even now every pitch is somewhat painful and surgery will happen as soon as the season is over but he has chosen to play out the year.. Matthews also needs to be applauded for keeping his head up through the struggles of the season and putting it together when we really needed it!!!

how is it painful? Holbrook said he was hitting as high as 94 on the gun which he had never seen him do. If there was pain I don't see how he would be hitting that for the first time since at USC
