We should be alright, I think most of us realists knew what we were working with after the Kentucky series....

We lost 19-6 to the taters the first year we won the cws. The thing about Ray is that he usually gets it figured out before its too late. I'm not worried yet. I think ky took the series that year too

Yeah... how did this scheduling debacle take place. 5 games in 5 days, including 3 against the preseason #1

You are correct. The UK series in 2010 set us back. If I remember correctly we were ahead of UF most of the season by a game or two when we lost that series. We swept Arkansas the next weekend at Fayetteville but we still had to beat UF the last weekend of Conference play to win the SEC which of course did not happen.
Very disappointed in the way we lost tonight.

Tonight really showed where we are as a team. This is going to be a tough year with 4 starting freshman who are a little inconsistent at best. We can't get any timely hits we are leaving to many players on base every game. We don't have a late inning pitcher Beal is going to be great but he is still young and will make mistakes. I think we can still be a very good team this year but the UK series and now this game showed us what to expect the rest of the year a tough road with young players. I have faith that Ray will make this team the best it can be. If we go in there and really take on UF it could turn the season around but it will be tough. Go Gamecocks

Especially after a week of 5 games the next week is 5 games. That's a lot of baseball. We are going to have to score more than 4 runs to win. If the UK series didn't wake the team up hopefully this game will or forget about it No matter how great tanner is if you have 4 holes in the line up we'll never score more than we do.
