It is time to really change things, or this season will be totally lost.
I would like to see the following:
1. Stop bunting (at least before the 6th). We aren't good at it and we can't hit the ball once we move the guy up anyway.
2. Attempt to steal some bases. Marzilli, Matthews, English, Bright, and Costen are all plus runners and anytime those guys get on have them put pressure on the other team. Yes we will very likely get thrown out more often than not, but at least we will make the other team have to work a little. Hell we won game 1 of the CWS last year when Walker stole 2nd and forced 2 errors!
3. Jordan Montgomery pitching alot. Kid has it!

Question,
How do you give LB Danztler the green light 3-0, ever? Has Ray been watching the same guy I have all year?
I know that he ending up walking, but swinging 3-0 is an earned privilege and IMHO he has done nothing to earn that honor.

Since I have been keeping count, now up to
14 left on base.
We have 8 walks and 2 hit batters, plus 1 error given to us by UT!
At first, I thought it was just baseball and the kids would grow and play their way out of it. Now, over halfway through the season, I can't say that anymore.
It is time for these guys to JUST F!@)*&!@ PLAY!

Steve, we are actually 21-9 ( but remember we started 15-1). I love the and all things GAMECOCK, but I also call it like I see it. We are nowhere near the 10th best team in the country.
You can pump sunshine all you want, but facts are we have a team that hasn't hit all year. Minus Walker, the team would be hitting a robust .175 with runners on. It doesn't take Connie Mack to know that that is BAD baseball.

I am a homer also but we are 3 - 7 in confrence. We are not as good as in the past but we all hope things will change. We are young and need seasoning from the upperclassmen. Aside from Walker and Marzilli on offense we have been punchless. Some of the youngsters have been ok but the majority of their hits have come with < 2 outs and nobody on base. We are young and all we can do is hope these younger guys grow up quickly. There is no quick fix.

We are not a good hitting team. But, our pitchers have kept us in games. I expect the hitting numbers to get better by the end of the year. All but Matthews, Walker, and Marzilli are getting used to SEC pitching.
That said, I don't think any of us would bet on us not making the post season
