I'm told that it's very unlikely that Grayson Greiner will be able to catch next weekend. He could be in uniform and he could be available to hit if all goes well. Being a catcher, it would be too much strain on his knee to squat down pitch after pitch. He had successful surgery this morning at 7 a.m. He will need to work hard to rehab and he'll have to have things go his way in order to play next weekend, but it's not out of the question that he could hit.
Erik Payne is the backup catcher. Patrick Harrington still can not throw.
