Question on ticket sales.

  • I had heard that many of the tickets for the regional and super were already sold before the pairings were announced so I am guessing most of those were purchased by Gamecock fans. Question is how many tickets are saved to go out to to other teams in the regional?

  • I think each team used to get like 250 ticket...I could be completely wrong though. They sold tickets to Gamecock Club members only until 10am this morning (and you had to purchase the entire regional booklet.) Tickets are now on-sale on Ticketmaster and you can buy single game tickets.

Most of the tickets in the reserved seats were sold to Gamecock Club members, so you'll mostly see Clempson fans in the outfield bleechers and SRO tickets. Those are still availble for every game at this point.

There are some reserved tickets still available for all games. Not many left though.

I think clemson sent out something to their fans saying they only got enough tickets for parents and administrators and that their fans would have to buy through gamecocksonline.

It was 200 when SC went to ECU and most schools don't sell those to boosters. They go to coaches and players family's. That's what SC did two years ago.

I'll bet for the first game tomorrow there will be a TON of Clemson people sitting in our GCC good seats (because Gamecocks sold them to Tigers).....

    I hope not, but .................................

    You know my thoughts.

You sell to a tater and your season tickets should be revoked.

Of course that won't happen. Unless I become the AD one day.

  • Do ya'll think the 4:00 start will make more tickets available for walk-ups?

    DietMountainDew

  • Diet, I was wondering the same thing. I checked on three tickets at 12:30 yesterday and by the time Ticketmaster added all of their fees, the ticket went from $15 each to $27 each.

If anybody has 2-4 tickets for Friday they want to sell, please PM me and I will take them. Otherwise, I am just going to show up and by them at the gate.

Just curious Cain... Did GCC members sell them to our opponents or did GCC members not buy their potential allotment ? Wouldn't that make them available to our opposing fan bases thru our ticket office if we did not buy them by a certain date and time ? It is my understanding that each visiting team in a regional only gets 200 tickets which are used to cover players families, faculty, trustees, etc. and each athletic department directs their fans to our website for tickets.

The only tickets I saw available on ticketmaster were in the bleachers and the last sections down each line.

So I would guess most season ticket holders ordered and kept their seats for the regionals.

    Hi Knot Hole.

We will find out tomorrow, but many nof the best seats were purchased by Gamecocks, however very few go to the non-USC games, and often either sell the others, give them away or waste them.

We go to all the games we can, and my wife always goes to very game no matter what (she takes the whole month of June off for baseball!!)...

I'm just saying I suspect that there will be a lot of Tigers and others in Gamecock seats, because they sold them.

I'm with my old friend Postal, and I have felt as he does for YEARS in every sport.

We left Harbison around 5:15, got parked(free) around 5:35 and saw a bunch of tickets being sold. Many wanted from 20-40 for $10 seat. I was willing to pay face. Then some lady signals us over and GAVE us two on the 3rd base line 5 rows up. Not a bad gig if you ask me. Granted I would have likely paid about 30 for 2, but we got lucky.

I expect the Clemson game to be one of the tougher baseball game tix, but will go again without. Probably will by Berm tix and scope out a section and sit there after a few innings. Have never been turned down in all the sporting events I've been to and I'll be damned if I will tomorrow. Doubt I'll spend more the 40 for two, but we'll see.

Stopped by Casa Linda's and got a delicious chicken chim, chips and salsa for two for 10 bucks.

10 bucks plus gas ....saw a Cock win and awesome dinner for two.

Now...if we can just beat those taters....
