Based on what I could gather -- it will probably be either Nolan Belcher or Forrest Koumas on Sunday. Nothing is official, but that's the scuttlebutt from my folks after the game.

As hot as UA has been hitting this CWS, I think Belcher might be a good change of pace for them...but I'm done being a couch coach. I was mad as a hornet when I saw we were throwing Roth against Kent yesterday.

I'm thinking if Ray Tanner is still Ray Tanner... we'll hear "it'll probably be Koumas." Then Saturday night/Sunday morning will roll around and we'll hear "well... we weren't really considering starting him, but then Mike came to me and told me how great his arm feels, and talked me into it." Then Montgomery on Monday to wrap it. Same script as last two years. He always puts his best bullet in the chamber first chance he gets.

Roth will have 72 hours of rest, about what he had in 2010, so I would not be surprised to hear him tell Tanner "I want the ball". Truly a Gamecock Great.

We're in a better position (if it came to it) on Tuesday than Sunday. We would have either Montgomery or Holmes to choose from. The guys we're looking at for Sunday are guys who haven't thrown in a month.
Can't even throw a reliever in there because Webb and Price are the only 2 we've used.
I guess you could make an argument for Beal but he hasn't pitched yet in Omaha either.

Would love to see belcher. He has pitched well in league games this year, although I don't know how many lefties Arizona has in the line up.
If belcher has his control, he is really good.
Love Koumas and he'll probably get the nod, but just not ire how much the injured arm will limit his effectiveness.
Either way, Arizona can hit and will get some runs. Going to need to get a bunch on game 1 ourselves to have an opportunity to win

Maybe try and get 2/2/2 from Belcher, Koumas and Beal. Then you could have Webb and Price for the rest of it and literally have everyone available on Monday.

Holmes threw what. 35 -40 pitches yesterday? Im not so sure he will be ready Monday, not so sure he wont be ready Sunday, thats a 2 1/3 inning relief stint basically

Really hoping its Koumas. Having watched Arizona play half a dozen times this postseason their lineup is riddled with really good right handed hitting and Koumas is best prepared to deal with that with power slider. Just have to hope his arm holds up and he is throwing strikes!
