We need something good to happen today...

  • I looked back and, for some reason, was surprised to see that we have lost 4 out of our last 5 games going back to Athens. I don't get wrapped up in the SEC tournament but we don't need to head into a regional, any regional, having lost 3 straight and 5 out of 6. This team really needs a "release" type game and what I mean by that is a huge offensive game to work all of the frustration over the last two weeks out of our system before the regional. We don't need to be heading into a regional with this vibe we've got going right now.

    With Auburn throwing much less than their best today I'd hope that this is the perfect set up for such a game. I hope our guys don't read this message board, have fun, play loose and let the bats go today. Go Cocks.

  • I do hope that something good happens today, and I like the message in your last sentence. We need more energy like that around here.

    I don't think that there is any "vibe" with the team right now. They don't chew on losses for very long. With guys like Roth, Matthews, Price, Walker & Co. in the dugout, you don't have to worry about that.

    That said, I just have a feeling that we are going to explode today and put some football numbers on the stat sheet today. Walker is beyond due, Matthews: we all know is due, Marzilli and Greiner are going to get hot starting today.

  • Seems like lately, the higher the pitcher's ERA, the worse we do. Don't know why that is. Maybe today it'll be different. Sure hope so.
