sandstorm or whatever its called

  • Does anyone out there think that each sport, ie football, basketball, baseball should have their own "pumped up" song? The first 75 times i heard it was cool, but do we really have to listen to it at all of these sporting events. A little bit of overkill if you ask me. Just saying.

  • I love it every time I hear it. I'm not sure it could ever get old, that's just my opinion though. I'm sure that isn't the case for everyone.

  • I think it should only be played at football games, and AT THE APPROPRIATE TIMES. Not on first and ten. Not after DiMarco carries for two yards. Not after a three yard out route that doesn't get a first down. It should be played sparingly, only when we need it--like a secret weapon or something to make the crowd absolutely freak out. They don't need to play it 349085240923843 times a game.

I still love to hear it, but it is way overplayed, imo.

  • Do they really play it that much? It hasn't seemed like it to me during the games that I have been too. But, I do agree that they need to play it in certain situations. Like after touchdowns, before the game, start of the second half, maybe during a timeout after a big play, etc. I will say that if you are in the student section during sandstorm it is pretty amazing.

  • IMHO, "2001" is an exciting, energizing way to bring our football team out just prior to the opening kickoff at home games but should never be played on any other occasion.

I can understand that opinion. It never has quite the same effect in any other situation as it does when the football team comes out. I have to say, I do really like it played in the montage of sports movie clips that they play in the 9th inning at Carolina Stadium.
